Based on a unique patented PEM electrolyser, Hystar is developing next-generation solutions to accelerate large-scale green hydrogen production.
About the Summer Internship Program
As a summer intern at Hystar, you’ll get a real taste of working in a green hydrogen tech company. We aim to give you hands-on experience and meaningful projects that contributes to our mission of making the future greener. You’ll be part of a team that values curiosity, collaboration, and bold ideas.
Internship Roles for Summer 2026
We offer a variety of internships across departments. This year, we’re looking for interns in:
Sourcing Intern
Support supplier management, cost analysis, and procurement coordination. Contribute to internal improvement projects and gain insight into international sourcing and hydrogen tech.
Simulation Engineer Intern
Help develop and validate our digital twin for PEM electrolysers using advanced modeling and simulation tools.
Test Engineer Intern
Investigate performance and lifetime of next-gen materials and components for PEM electrolysers through testing and analysis.
Production Intern
Support daily operations and process improvements in our production team. A hands-on role in manufacturing electrolyser stacks.
IT Intern
Assist in maintaining and developing internal IT systems, providing technical support and improving tools for tracking e.g. manufacturing efficiency, quality and sustainability metrics.
Mechanical Engineer Intern
Conduct a study on torque values for flanged connections in containerized PEM projects, gaining practical mechanical design experience.

- Are you a Bachelor’s or Master’s student looking for relevant work experience
- Do you enjoy working in a team and contributing your unique perspective?
- Are you comfortable communicating in English, both written and spoken?
Formal experience is not required. This internship is about learning and growing. Relevant experience is a plus, but not a must.
Good to Know
- Location: Veritasveien 5, Høvik (Greater Oslo Area)
- Duration: Starting early/mid June 2026 (by agreement)
- Housing: You are responsible for finding accommodation during the internship.
- Documents: Upload all transcripts/diplomas with your application. Applications without these will not be considered.
- Eligibility: You must be a resident and hold a valid work permit for the Schengen area
